Organisms live in constant interaction with other organisms and with their environments. In ecology, we study these interactions at scales from individual organisms to the Earth as a whole. This course will introduce foundational topics, concepts, and research techniques in ecology at many scales. Along the way, we will cultivate skills such as field observation and experimentation, and discussion and critique of current ecological research.
