Often considered a gateway for a fine arts education, drawing teaches us not just how to render a likeness in pencil, charcoal or ink, but what it means to see. In this seven-week introductory course for students with little or no previous experience, we will first learn how to see with a painter’s eye. Working from live models, still life, landscape, imagination and masterworks, we’ll study perspective, light, tones, proportion, composition, and other fundamentals.
