This class will be centered on fundamental Biochemistry and basic energy metabolism.
At the end of this class you should be able to :
1) Know and recognize the 4 basic macromolecules involved in Life
2) Understand the mechanisms behind the central dogma of Life
3) Understand Enzymatic reactions and have a basic knowledge to evaluate them
4) Understand the primary energy metabolism
It is required that you get the textbook Essential Cell Biology, and the pages given are for 6th edition.
Unlike other biology classes, you will not be tested on your capacity to memorize the material, but rather if you are able to use it in logical parameters (more in the syllabus).
